Ministries

Food for Families - Members provide assistance and support as needed to parishoners when a loved one has died or a family member is ill.

Elizabeth Ministry - is a like-to-like ministry that supports women through the joys and sorrows of the childbearing years. Women who have experienced general pregnancy, pregnancy complications, infant/child death, infertility, adoption, etc. support other women in our church who are going through similar circumstances.

First Friday Adoration - The First Friday of each month is set aside for adoration of The Blessed Sacrament. For more information contact Elisabeth Sims at 757-8487.

Ministry to the Homeless - St. Francis parishioners, organized into three groups, prepare and serve dinner once a month to the women and children at Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity shelter. This is done on the third Thursday, first Saturday and fourth Tuesday of each month from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Contact the church office for more information.

Ministry to the Imprisoned - Volunteers visit and attend Mass with the men and women in the Federal Correction Institution, as well as meet occasional special needs. A training program is provided for interested persons. For more information, contact the church office.

Ministry to the Sick/Homebound/Elderly - Ministers visit and take the Eucharist to parishoners who are homebound or in hospitals, as well as to those in the four nursing homes within our parish boundaries. They try to be helpful and to perform tasks which will make life easier. Most importantly, they offer fellowship and caring to those they visit. Volunteers participate in a diocesan training session and are certified by the parish. For more information, contact the church office.
