Catholic Radio Talk Show Host to Lead Mission

Father David Dwyer, C.S.P., host of "The Busted Halo® Show" on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, will lead a mission and preaching event at St. Ann Church in Bartlett on September 20, 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. in the main church. Father Dwyer will present Three Spiritual Questions: Who Is Jesus? Where is Jesus? and Why Jesus? The mission is free and open to the public and child care will be available.

Father Russell Harbaugh, pastor of St. Ann, said, "We are pleased to welcome Father Dwyer to St. Ann and the greater Memphis area. His message and insights will be helpful and uplifting to all committed Christians." In addition to preaching each evening, Father Dwyer will celebrate and deliver homilies at each weekend Mass on September 18 and 19 and will celebrate the regular weekday Mass, including two masses for the St. Ann Catholic School students.

Before joining the Catholic order of Paulist priests and being ordained in 2000, Dwyer directed television for MTV and Comedy Central. After serving in campus ministry at the University of Colorado and the University of Texas, he has gone on to direct Busted Halo®, a ministry and media outreach to Catholics in their 20s and 30s. In addition to serving as host of a nightly talk radio show that answers listeners' faith questions, Father Dwyer is the publisher of BustedHalo.com®, a web magazine for spiritual seekers. Dwyer is a frequent commentator on several national news programs. He holds a Masters of Divinity from the Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Science degree in communication from Syracuse University.
