A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Judge Horace O. Pierotti, 81, at St. Louis Church by Father William Parham and concelebrated by Father Al Kirk and Father John McArthur. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Judge Pierotti, born in Memphis, was a World War II veteran having served in the Marine Corps. He served six years as a judge on the City Court bench and 18 years in General Sessions Court before his retirement in 2000.
A graduate of Memphis State University Law and Rhodes College, Judge Pierotti was awarded many honors throughout his career including the Presidential Unit Citation, Memphis Bar Association Criminal Section Outstanding Judge of the Year and Shelby County Sheriff's Association Judge of the Year.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Balestrino Pierotti of Memphis; two sons, Ronald Douglas Pierotti of Memphis and Richard Wayne Pierotti of Eads, TN; and five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Brother Josiah Leander Noone, F.S.C., 89, at Christian Brothers Chapel by Father William Burke and concelebrated by Father Robert Marshall, Father John McArthur and Father Gabriel DiFederico. Burial was in the Brothers' plot at Calvary Cemetery.
Brother Leander was born in Chicago, IL in 1915, the youngest of ten children to parents John and Mary Noone. He became a brother on the Feast of St. Rose of Lima, Aug. 30, 1933. He attended school to study English and became a teacher for his order.
He taught in the brothers' schools in Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska, Oklahoma and in Memphis at Christian Brothers High School. At CBHS, Brother Leander taught English and led the intramural academic teams to many victories.
He was also an avid horse racing fan and especially enjoyed watching CBHS baseball and football games.
Survivors include a niece, Pat Culloten; and a nephew, John Pfeiffer, of Chicago, IL.
SULLIVAN

He was head professional at the Bella Vista Golf Club in Whitehaven and assisted in the development of the Holiday Golf Club.

A parishioner at St. William Church, Thompson was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, and a member of the American Legion.
