2019 Spelling Bee Winner for St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School Announced

November 8, 2019- Fifth grade student, Julia Casama won the 2019 Scripps Spelling Bee for St. Francis School earlier this week. Twenty-five 4^th – 8^th grade students participated in the Spelling Bee through 24 rounds of intense competition.  Julia correctly spelled the championship word, “brevet” to become the winner.  Second place honors went to 8^th grade student, Carlo Duran and third place honors went to 7^th grade student, Mary Spain.
