Our mission is to assist parishes and families throughout the Diocese of Memphis to recognize, honor, integrate, serve, and build up the Domestic Church by offering programs and services that center on the many forms and stages of family life from conception to natural death.

Catholic Charities of West Tennessee has been serving West Tennessee for over 50 years, working to end hunger, end homelessness, and offer hope to families seeking a better tomorrow.
We try to meet people where they are, offering hope as we help, and we never do this work alone. Volunteerism is a key driver in this work, as individuals, churches, businesses, schools, and others serve with us every day.
As a part of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church, the Diocese of Memphis in Tennessee Catholic School system is committed to preparing students to be courageous and faithful Disciples of Christ by providing a solid spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical formation under the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary in union with the Roman Catholic Church.
As permanently consecrated grounds, our Catholic Diocese of Memphis Cemeteries offer burial places where the deceased, “Earthen Vessels of the Holy Spirit,” are treated with deserved dignity and respect.
Villa Vianney, named after the patron saint of parish priests, is an independent living facility for our retired diocesan priests. Located in a serene, wooded area of Cordova, donated by Jim and Bernice Jarboe, it consists of eight spacious individual suites inter-connected to various common areas and a designated Chapel. This special place is a blessing to our diocesan priests who choose to live their retirement in community with their brother priests.
The Office of Worship of the Diocese of Memphis serves all who celebrate the liturgy, that they might share in the primary and indispensable source of Christian life, and do so fully aware of what they are doing, actively engaged in the rite, and enriched by its effects. On fire with the Good News, we go forth to live and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the doors of the church.
