Assoc. Dir. of Safety and Security, Max Howard, Interviewed on WMC-TV Action News 5

At the end of last month our Diocese announced that Max Howard had joined us as Associate Director of Safety and Security, reporting to Bill Hecht, Director of the Office of Facilities and Risk Management. As shared, Max is already assisting many of our Diocese’s parishes, schools, and ministries across West Tennessee in strengthening safety and security measures.

Across Our Diocese

Our Diocese has strengthened its commitment to safety and security by appointing Max Howard as Associate Director of Safety and Security.  Max brings exceptional experience to the role, including 25 years with the Memphis Police Department, where he retired as a Major and led numerous specialized public safety units.

In his new position, Max will work with our Diocese’s parishes, schools, and ministries to enhance risk management, emergency preparedness, safety training, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies.  As a lifelong Catholic and graduate of local Catholic schools, Max combines professional expertise with a deep understanding of our Catholic faith to help ensure safe and secure environments for worship, education, and ministry throughout West Tennessee.
