Bishop Talley joins Theology on Tap at Cheffie’s
On Monday, June 17, Bishop David Talley joined 85+ young adults in their 20s and 30s at Cheffie’s in Highpoint Terrace as part of the ongoing Theology on Tap series sponsored by the Office of Youth, Campus, and Young Adult Ministry. Attendees listened to a brief reflection of Bishop Talley’s encounters with Pope St. John Paul II before he opened up the floor for a 45-minute Q&A. The Bishop joyfully and candidly answered questions about his own vocational journey, his encounters with St. Mother Theresa, his desires for greater communication with young people in the diocese, his favorite rock bands, and his love of baseball. Most importantly, he emphasized the central mission of the church to share the Kerygma with the world and our need spread the Gospel message. He ended the night by encouraging all those present not to fall into despair, but to rely on the love of God and to never give up hope.
