A Holy Mass for the Ordination of Several Deacons will be celebrated on Saturday morning, Sept. 20, 10:00am, at our magnificent and historic Mother Church, The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Ave., Memphis. Our Diocese’s 20 Permanent Diaconate Candidates, Class of 2025, will be Ordained. Please take a moment to hear from Bishop David P. Attendance and Reception
Bishop Talley will be the Celebrant and Homilist for the celebration with most of our Priests, Deacons, Religious, and Consecrated in attendance. After the Holy Mass, a Reception will take place in Marian Hall at The Cathedral.
Vocation Five-Year Study

The Vocation to become a Permanent Deacon is a Five-Year Master’s Degree level study, which began in the Spring of 2020 for the 20 Permanent Deacon Candidates. Also, each Candidate’s spouse, if they are married, are right by their side in support of them.
