Today marks the beginning of Vocations Awareness Week and our Diocese’s Office of Vocations “Called by Name” initiative. This special effort will continue through December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Called by Name program invites the faithful to prayerfully identify and recommend men and women who may be hearing God’s call to serve His Church through the Priesthood, Diaconate, or Consecrated Life. Through your nominations and prayers, you can help encourage those whom God may be calling to devote their lives to serving His People.
About the Calle By Name Initiative
- Purpose: To invite men and women to prayerfully consider a vocation to the Priesthood, Diaconate, or Consecrated Life.
- Participation: Parishioners are encouraged to submit the names of individuals who demonstrate faith, leadership, service, and a love for Christ and His Church.
- Submission: Nominations may be submitted through the Diocese of Vocations webpage here: Office of Vocations – Catholic Diocese of Memphis
- Mission: This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to foster a vibrant culture of vocations throughout the Diocese
We invite you to review the Called by Name flyer and join us in praying for an increase in holy vocations and for those discerning God’s call in their lives.
Let us pray that many generous hearts will respond to the Lord’s invitation.
All glory to God!
