Christian Brothers High School Honors Bishop Robert Marshall and Gary Stavrum with Affiliation
It was a beautiful Holy Mass and recognition yesterday morning, Nov. 23, at Christian Brothers High School where a full gymnasium of Clergy, Brothers, Faculty, Students and Community leaders gathered to see two alumni Brothers given Affiliation, the highest honor that the CBHS bestow on a person—Bishop Robert Marshall and Gary Stavrum.
Bishop David Talley was the Celebrant and Bishop Emeritus Terry Steib was a Concelebrant and blessed the Symbols given to the two honored Brothers.
Msgr. John McArthur gave a powerful Homily on what one person can do to lift up others and a community. He and Msgr. Val Handwerker, both Affiliated, Concelebrated the Mass, too, as did our Vicar General Fr. Keith Stewart.
As always, CBHS President Brother David Poos and all Brothers were exceptional Hosts, and the music and voices were absolutely amazing from the CBHS Band.
God bless Bishop Marshall and Gary Stavrum, and many blessings to all!
