The Germantown Christian 49ers and the Knights of Columbus, Council 7449, Germantown, are proud to announce the dedication of a magnificent Father Michael J. McGivney Statue this Tuesday, August 13, 9:00am, at our beautiful Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8151 Poplar Ave., Germantown. The Father McGivney Statue replaces a statue destroyed last summer in a storm.
Father McGivney is the founder of the Knights of Columbus. He was a central figure in the growth of Catholicism in the United States and he remains a model today. His example of charity, evangelization, and empowerment of the laity continues to bear fruit and guide Knights of Columbus around the world.
