It was a beautiful morning, April 2, with many in attendance for the St. Martin de Porres National Shrine & Institute’s Interfaith Prayer Service and Walk to the National Civil Rights Museum for Safer Neighborhoods. See the Daily Memphian article: InterfaithMLKPrayWalk.
The Interfaith event honored the “Martyrdom” of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Prayer Service was at our historic St. Peter Catholic Church. Bishop Talley give the welcome and the Catholic Prayer and leaders from other Faiths provided their Prayers, too. The Music, Cantor and Gospel Choir were amazing, as usual!
After the Service, many in attendance walked to the Museum. The program concluded at the Museum with Students presenting their Hopes and Dreams for a better world. Also, the singing from our St. Paul Catholic School Choir was wonderful. Many blessings on the faith-filled event. Please check the link for all the excellent photos: InterfaithMLKPhotos.
