St. Mary’s School is currently accepting applications for Pre-K Teacher. The Pre-K Teacher will follow the classic curriculum that is in place and commit to the Dominican Tradition of prayer, community, study, and ministry.  Responsibilities of this position include preparing engaging lessons, providing differentiation where needed and effectively communicating with students; demonstrating classroom management skills; communicating with parents regarding student progress, potential, and behavior through phone, email or in person.  In addition, the Pre-K Teacher will coordinate with administration and other staff members to create an environment focused on meeting students’ academic needs and behavior needs, maintain a safe, orderly and supportive classroom by modeling expected behavior and standards.  The Pre-K Teacher will participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, etc., and will maintain accurate and complete student records as required by the Diocese.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Teaching Licensure for the State of Tennessee
• Teaching experience valued
• A willingness to share their Christian testimony and instruct others in the faith
