St. Louis Catholic School is seeking an exceptional Special Education Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis, focusing on supporting students with learning differences in the 5th and 6th grades. We are looking for dedicated individuals who hold licensure in special education, possess a caring and nurturing demeanor, and demonstrate strong communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with our counseling staff and classroom teachers to provide comprehensive support and ensure the academic success and emotional well-being of all students.

Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored instruction and support to students with learning differences, utilizing evidence-based strategies and accommodations to address individual needs.
• Develop and implement action and accomodation plans in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to the academic and social-emotional growth of students.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to align curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices, ensuring accessibility and differentiation for students with diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress, behavior, and interventions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and caregivers regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for support.
• Collaborate with the counseling staff to provide holistic support to students, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid licensure in special education (state certification required).
• Experience working with students with learning differences, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of special education best practices.
