The St. Martin de Porres National Shrine & Institute is hosting an Interfaith Prayer Service and Walk to the National Civil Rights Museum for Safer Neighborhoods this Saturday, April 2. The Interfaith event will honor the “Martyrdom” of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A Musical Prelude will begin at 9:45am with the Prayer Service starting at 10am at our historic St. Peter Catholic Church. Bishop David P. Talley will give the welcome and the Catholic Prayer. After the Service, participants, who wish to do so, will walk together to the National Civil Rights Museum.
