Lumen Civitatis Sponsors Fr. Murray, OP, at St. Louis, Next Wed., Nov. 19

All are invited with family, friends, and many more to an amazing Lumen Civitatis of Memphis event on “How God Gets Our Attention: A Few Reflections on the Shock of Grace” with Father Paul Murray, OP, next Wednesday evening, Nov. 19, 6:00pm, at our beautiful St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S White Station Rd., Memphis. Lumen Civitatis is sponsoring Fr. Murray’s talk at St. Louis.
About Father Murray, OP 
Fr. Murray is an Irish Dominican Friar with a tremendous global following of many faithful. He lives in Rome, where he teaches courses on the literature of the Western mystical tradition at the Angelicum University.
In 2000-2001, Fr. Murray was invited by Cardinal George to occupy the Paluch Chair of Theology at the University of St. Mary of the Lake, Mundelein, Chicago. From 2001-2005, he was Vice Rector of the Angelicum University and, in 2007, he was elected President of the Institute of Spirituality at the Angelicum and re-elected in 2009. In 2010, Fr. Murray was invited by The House of Lords, London, to deliver an hour-long lecture on Christian Contemplation. On January 17, 2012, he was conferred with the STM (Master-in-Sacred Theology) by the Dominican Order.
Fr. Murray is also a Fellow of Bishop Robert Barron’s Word on Fire Institute and has published many books, including: St. Catherine of Siena: Mystic of Fire, Preacher of Freedom; A Journey with Jonah: The Spirituality of Bewilderment; Scars: Essays, Poems, and Meditations on Affliction; Aquinas at Prayer: The Bible, Mysticism, and Poetry; and God’s Spies: Michelangelo, Shakespeare, and Other Poets of Vision.
