Mass Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

All are invited with family, friends, and community members! Let’s celebrate Mass with Bishop David P. Talley on the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., National Holiday, Monday, January 19, 10:00am, at our beautiful and historic Mother Church, The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Ave., Memphis.

Bishop Talley will be the Celebrant and Homilist for the Mass. Together, let’s recall the exceptional work of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The MLK, Jr., National Holiday honors the achievements of an extraordinary person. A Baptist Minister and Civil Rights Leader who advocated for non-violent resistance against segregation. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for equal rights among all.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s faith and politics were integrated and focused on how we can live a good life. We must never lose sight that the Catholic Church is called to do the same. Let’s embody his teachings to help us work for peace every day and create equality for all.
