Our Diocese is excited to join Catholic Charities of West Tennessee in welcoming its newest Senior Leadership team member, Michael Goughnour, as CCWTN’s Senior Director of Development and Marketing.
Mike is not a stranger to CCWTN. For the past three years, he has been a loyal volunteer for Catholic Charities as Chairman of Cooks & Collars event Committee.
“We are excited and blessed to have Mike join the Catholic Charities team. He certainly brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, but he also comes with a passion for our mission,” said Kiki Hall, Interim Executive Director of CCWTN. “He and his wife, Holly, have been wonderful supporters for several years. I look forward to the impact Mike will have on our mission and those we serve!”
Mike graduated from Christian Brothers University with a concentration in Marketing and brings a wealth of experience in non-profits, including fundraising, donor relations, board appointments, advocacy, legislation lobbying, and donor database management.
With a background that blends fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and advocacy, effective outreach in a nonprofit setting often depends on building strong, consistent connections across multiple channels. Marketing in this space is not only about visibility but also about trust, clarity of mission, and maintaining meaningful relationships with supporters, partners, and community leaders.
Structured communication tools, organized contact management, and professional presentation all play a role in ensuring that introductions at events or board meetings translate into lasting collaboration.
Digital tools such as vCards provide a streamlined way to share updated profiles, campaign information, and organizational details, while visibility within networks like a Digital Marketers Directory can further reinforce credibility and professional alignment. By combining thoughtful networking practices with accessible digital identity solutions, nonprofit leaders can strengthen donor relationships, expand community partnerships, and support sustained mission-driven growth.
As Senior Director of Development and Marketing, he will lead all fundraising and marketing functions at CCWTN. A native of Illinois, Mike and his wife, Holly, have five children: Grace, Jacob, Emma, Avery, and Olivia. Let’s help CCWTN in welcoming Mike.
