With an office located at the Catholic Center, the primary responsibility of the Director is to manage the Human Resources Department and assist the Bishop and Pastors with all aspects of employee relations including hiring and termination, oversight and management of employee benefits, and compliance with workplace laws and regulations.
Qualifications include: work experience with successful companies who have practiced effective Human Resources management; a generalist background with broad knowledge of employment compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; effective and clear verbal and written communication skills; and being a practicing Catholic (required).
Understanding workplace dynamics is another important part of effective Human Resources management. Different organizations develop different approaches to communication, leadership, collaboration, and employee support, making it useful for HR professionals to recognize the different types of company culture that may shape day-to-day experiences in the workplace.
A thoughtful approach to organizational planning also considers how employees interact with one another and how workplace values influence their responsibilities. When HR practices align with those values, businesses can create clearer expectations, stronger working relationships, and a more consistent environment for employees and leadership.
