Prayer Service for Healing this Evening at Catholic Church of the Incarnation in Collierville

The following letter was sent out yesterday, Monday, Sept. 27, as a Flocknote at the Catholic Church of the Incarnation to all Parishioners from Fr. Mike. Please share. God bless!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we have had our lives shaken to the core over this past week, we have also witnessed the great outpouring of love and support from our community. The city of Collierville has received so much from our surrounding neighbors, and in turn they have offered so much to our Parish family at Incarnation.

As Pastor, I have tried to be attentive to the individual needs of the persons and families affected by this tragedy, and yet I have been reluctant to rush into anything on a communal scale because I wanted to give proper respect and pastoral care to our Parishioners who are still dealing with the uncertainty of this tragic event.

That being said, I believe that our Parish family needs to gather in prayer, as our civic community looks to us as a beacon of hope, healing and peace. For that reason, we will have a PRAYER SERVICE FOR HEALING IN OUR COMMUNITY at Church of the Incarnation on Tuesday, September 28, at 7:00pm in the Main Sanctuary.

Please join us to lift up our family, friends and community in prayer.  If you cannot make it, please join us in solidarity of prayer from your home or work.

May God bless and strengthen our community and bring us healing and peace.

God Bless You,

Fr. Mike Werkhoven
