This past weekend was another huge record-breaking success at our Diocese’s 17th Annual Angelo Lucchesi Seminarian Dinner on Saturday, August 8.

With more than 500 Catholic faithful in attendance, preliminary results say in excess of $325,000 was raised, which easily surpasses this year’s goal and last year’s final total by more than $50,000. Amazing!

It was a wonderful evening with Joe Birch doing another spectacular job as the host and auctioneer. All Seminarians and Candidates in attendance were introduced, which included a slide show in the background of each young man’s bio.

The record-breaking funds raised are for the ongoing Formation of our 17 Seminarians. Let’s pray and say the Rosary daily for these outstanding young men as they attend Conception Seminary College in Conception, Mo., Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, La., St. Meinrad Seminary in St. Meinrad, Ind.

A very special acknowledgement to Nan Miller, Susan Vescovo, and Father Jacek Kowal, Director of Vocations, for leading an incredible successful event—along with the excellent support of the Knights of Columbus, Christian 49ers, Diocesan staff, and many volunteers.
