St. Ann Volunteers Partner for First Drive-Thru Food Giveaway to Help Families in Need
Bartlett, Tenn. – Through a deep care for families in need, the Knights of Columbus recently hosted its first Drive-Thru Food Giveaway at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. At a time when the grocery store shelves can empty fast, many faithful St. Ann parishioners and other community members came forward with generous money and food donations.

Knights of Columbus and Squires from St. Ann waited at the steps of the Church and collected dozens of boxes of food, which was organized, packaged and distributed by St. Ann’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Within two consecutive Saturdays of the Drive-Thru Food Giveaway, the SVDP volunteers served 224 neighbors with more than 50 percent of them children. Families drove up to the church, picked up an easy form to fill-out, moved forward with the completed form and then the SVDP volunteers loaded the car and sent families home with a smile–and a reminder to stay safe and healthy.
