St. John in Brownsville Pilgrimage a Special Plenary Indulgence until June 25

As the Lenten Season continues, our beautiful St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 910 North Washington Avenue, Brownsville, Tenn., continues to celebrate its 75th Anniversary. As shared last year, for this special occasion, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV granted a special plenary indulgence for the St. John Church in Brownsville.

June 2025 to June 2026
From June 25, last year until this June 25, all faithful who make a Pilgrimage to our St. John Church in Brownsville or to spend some time in prayer in the church can receive a special plenary indulgence for themselves or for souls in purgatory.

Jubilee Mass Last Year
As a reminder, by special concession of Pope Leo XIV, a papal blessing with special plenary indulgence was imparted by Bishop David P. Talley during a Jubilee Mass last year on June 25, at our St. John Catholic Church in Brownsville.

Communion, Confession, Prayers
The special plenary indulgence may be obtained under the usual conditions of receiving Holy Communion, Confession, offering Prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father, and complete detachment from all sin.

Homebound Opportunity
For those who are homebound, the Holy Father grants them the opportunity to receive the special plenary indulgence by uniting their prayers and sufferings to the sufferings of Christ and joining spiritually to the Jubilee celebrations at our St. John Catholic Church in Brownsville.

Our St. John Catholic Church in Brownsville is open daily for those who want to make a Pilgrimage and receive the special plenary indulgence. Groups are welcome to make a Pilgrimage to the church.
