The St. Louis Senior High Youth Ministry recently attended Catholic HEART Workcamp (CHWC) in Charleston, South Carolina where they served at both residences and agencies to help improve the lives of many residents in South Carolina.  This marks the ministry’s 25th mission trip with CHWC since 2006.  During their four work days, the youth painted houses, rebuilt staircases, built ramps, cleared debris, pulled weeds, cut yards, trimmed trees and bushes and even tore down old sheds.

Through CHWC our youth are continually inspired to help build a world where people love as Christ loved and where service to others and living Catholic always come first.  This year 49 amazing youth from St. Louis attended the work camp accompanied by 9 wonderfully dedicated chaperones.

Following their work week, the group toured Fort Sumter in Charleston and spent some time in the Atlantic Ocean at Folly Beach.  On the way home the group stopped in Atlanta, Georgia where they ate at the Varsity and visited Stone Mountain.
