St. Louis Youth Ministry recently presented service awards to Alan Smith and Tracy Reinoehl Price. The St. Nicholas and St. Don Bosco awards recognize adults who have been involved in their parish youth ministry for 20 or more years as a Memphis Diocesan award. The St. Nicholas Award is for those who have worked 20 years or more and the St. Don Bosco Award is for those who have worked 25 years or more.
St. Louis Parish is proud to recognize Alan Smith for his 20 years of service to the youth of St. Louis parish. Alan Smith was himself a youth in the St. Louis Youth Ministry during his high school years. Looking to give back to his parish after college, Alan joined the youth ministry team at St. Louis in 1999 where he has continued to be an anchor for the ministry. Alan has also served on a diocesan level in youth ministry in the SEARCH community since 2002 as both crew chief and as program director. Alan remains active in both SEARCH and St. Louis Youth Ministry today. Alan was presented this award at the youth ministry’s annual senior farewell banquet. Congratulations Alan on your 20 years of service and for receiving the St. Nicholas Award.
St. Louis Parish is proud to recognize Tracy Price for her more than 25 years of service to the youth of St. Louis parish. Tracy served as the Director of Youth Ministry for ten years and stayed on as a volunteer advisor even after the hiring of the parish’s current Director of Youth Ministry and as the director of St. Louis Vacation Bible School for twelve years. Tracy was also very involved in scouting at St. Louis for eleven years and is responsible for bringing American Heritage Girls to St. Louis Parish in 2012.
Tracy currently works in the St. Louis Early Childhood Center where she continues to minister to the youth of St. Louis. Tracy was presented this award at the parish’s annual Hole-In-One Festival. Congratulations Tracy on your 25 years of service and for receiving the St. Don Bosco Award.
