Mark your calendar now for The Red Mass, Saturday, Sept. 16, 5pm, at our beautiful and historic Mother Church, The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Ave. Bishop David P. Talley will be the Celebrant and Archbishop Emeritus J. Peter Sartain will be the Homilist. The Red Mass is historically for those associated with the legal system including judges, attorneys, legal assistants, and public officials; however, all are invited. During the Red Mass, Catholics reaffirm their commitment to justice and their faith. The name refers to the red vestments worn by the celebrants to signify the Holy Spirit. Participants pray for wisdom as they endeavor to seek justice.
