VIRTUS June 2026 Newsletter

Each month, our Diocese shares a VIRTUS Training article through our primary Communications avenues. This month there are two articles for June–a Part 1 and Part 2. Let’s take time to read both articles, which are entitled:
— Behind the Smile: Uncovering the Warning Signs of Grooming, Part 1 (Educating ourselves on the signs and tactics used in grooming)
— Behind the Smile: Uncovering the Warning Signs of Grooming, Part 2 (Further reviewing the grooming process and grooming behaviors)
.
Both articles are available by clicking on the following links. Many blessings, always:

• What is VIRTUS Training?
VIRTUS, led by The National Catholic Risk Retention Group, Inc., aims to eliminate abuse of children in our Catholic communities by providing training on the warning signs and proper procedures when faced with such injustices.
.
To be an employee or volunteer in any environment that involves children in our Catholic communities across West Tennessee, one must attend the VIRTUS training. In addition to the formal training sessions, VIRTUS creates articles to supplement one’s training.
.
Bishop David P. Talley, our Clergy, and our entire Diocese believes it is important for all parishioners to have access to this free set of valuable resources so that we are fully prepared to provide the protection our children need. All Glory to God!
Living the anointed life!
