Welcome and many Blessings from Bishop Talley and the Catholic Diocese of Memphis to Kadesha Gordon, the new Principal of our Immaculate Conception Cathedral School. She is also a member of our St. Augustine Catholic Church in Memphis. Please see the following letter on Kadesha’s announcement…

Dear ICCS Family,

As we embark into a new direction in our Cathedral School with the implementation of Classical Education this fall, I’m pleased to introduce Ms. Kadesha Gordon as the new principal of Immaculate Conception Cathedral School.

A lifelong Catholic, Ms. Gordon is a 2003 graduate of Watkins Overton High School and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Stillman College, a Historical Black College and University (HBCU) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. She is also currently pursuing a Master of Social Work from Union.

A dedicated mother to two boys, Colin and Cooper, who attend Holy Rosary Catholic School, Ms. Gordon believes her highest gift is the opportunity to rear two sons to be strong, independent, Catholic men.

She is excited and prepared to lead our academic team in providing the best academic experience for our students: “My commitment to children has been curated by my faith, education, motherhood, and 13 years of practical experience, and it includes three tenets: I support the whole child, mind, body, and spirit; I respect and believe in the power of classroom teachers and support staff; and I build the community village to meet the needs of all children. I bring these tenets with me as I humbly assume leadership of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral School.”

Please join me in welcoming her to the Cathedral and School family.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Robert Szczechura, Pastor
