Bishop Talley Video on Special Collection for Victims Hardest Hit By Tornado Outbreak
Please view the following video link from Bishop Talley on a Special Collection at all Masses this weekend, Dec. 18-19, during the Fourth Sunday of Advent: BishopTalleySpecialCollection.
The Special Collection is for victims that were hardest hit by the recent tornado outbreak within the Owensboro Diocese in Western Kentucky. The death and destruction seen in the aftermath of the tornadoes in that area of the state is overwhelming.
Please make checks payable to the Catholic Diocese of Memphis and drop it in the collection basket. You may also mail your donation to the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, 5825 Shelby Oaks Dr., Memphis, TN 38134. Please note “2021 Owensboro Relief” on the check. If mailed, note “2021 Owensboro Relief” on the lower left corner of the envelope.
Every dollar raised for the “2021 Owensboro Relief” will be sent to the Owensboro Diocese. The funds will be used to help relieve the suffering of families who have lost everything. Also, as Bishop Talley said three of our Parishes in our North Deanery, Immaculate Conception-Union City, Holy Angels-Dyersburg and St. Jude-Martin, are assisting local families with storm damage.
Thank you to all who are assisting with recovery efforts. Let’s continue our prayers for all victims. Praying is powerful. God bless!
