It was a beautiful Thursday evening, June 30, in a full church for the dedication of our Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Memphis, after a long process of restoration from last year’s fire.
Bishop David P. Talley gathered with Fr. Brandon Hiep Nguyen, Pastor, and support from Fr. Peter Nguyen, Fr. Robert Szczechura, Deacons and Altar Servers to make Holy the Worship space (Altar) at Sacred Heart in spirit and truth. The Altar is the heart and soul of every church. The sacrifice that is offered at the Holy Altar makes us One family, children of God. The Altar makes us His Church.
Also, many thanks to Fr. Robert Szczechura and Fr. Yoelvis Gonzalez who offered to Fr. Brandon and the Sacred Heart Community the use of their Parishes during the many months of work. However, on this joyful evening Sacred Heart is back home.
