Fr. Galicia has been the parochial vicar at St. Brigid Catholic Church since 2019. Shortly after being assigned to St. Brigid, he formed a Hispanic community which is currently one of the fastest growing and most dynamic communities in the Diocese of Memphis.
He was born and raised in Mexico and before becoming a seminarian, he attended university in Mexico and Spain majoring in business administration. While he was studying philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Palafoxiano Seminary, he obtained a master’s degree in Family Counseling at the John Paul II Institute. Fr. Galicia graduated from the Notre Dame Seminary School of Theology.
In addition to his priestly ministry and lay formation, Fr. Galicia is currently studying a continuing education course in marriage consulting techniques.
