St. Josémaría Escrivá (1902-1975), born in Barbastro, Spain, was a Spanish Priest ordained in 1925. He founded Opus Dei in 1928, promoting the idea that ordinary life and work are paths to holiness.

St. Josémaría Escrivá emphasized the call to universal holiness among the laity in the midst of ordinary life. His teachings focused on integrating our Catholic faith with daily life, encouraging people to seek spiritual growth through their professional and personal responsibilities. St. Josémaría Escrivá was canonized by Saint Pope John Paul II in 2002.

There will be a St. Josémaría Escrivá Reception in Marian Hall after Mass.
