Diocesan Concerts Featuring Our Diocese Choir Continues Our 50th Anniversary Celebrations

The 50th Anniversary celebrations of our Catholic Diocese of Memphis continues with two beautiful Diocesan Concerts featuring our Diocese Choir in Jackson and Memphis. All are invited and no ticket is needed to attend either Concert since admission is free.

Our Golden Jubilee Concerts will take place at:

·       St. Mary Catholic Church in Jackson, this Sunday, Nov. 7, 4:00pm.

·       Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, next Friday, Nov. 12, 7:00pm.

Both Concerts will be filled with amazing and faith-filled music. These are two more do not miss, once-in-a-lifetime 50th Anniversary events taking place across our Memphis Diocese in West Tennessee. Each Concert program will be approximately one hour in length.

Featured is John’s Rutter’s beautiful Requiem, sung in memory of those we have lost during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, Marie-Stephane Bernard will sing Franck’s Panis Angelicus. Other wonderful selections include: Choral Works from the Renaissance and Handel’s Messiah; Settings of Ubi Caritas by Maurice Durufle and Ola Gjello; Of Ave Maria by Philip Stopford; Precious Lord, Take My Hand; and concluding with the spiritual “Every Time I Feel the Spirit.”
