Many blessings and congratulations to Father Bruce Cinquegrani, Parochial Vicar, St. Louis Catholic Parish, Assistant Visiting Professor of Catholic Studies and Chaplain, Christian Brothers University, and Consultant Diocesan Office of Divine Worship, on being elected to the Board of Directors of the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC) as the representative for Region V.
The FDLC was founded in October 1969 by the Bishops’ Committee on the Liturgy (now the Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship). It remains a national organization of Directors for Diocesan Offices of Worship, other Diocesan Liturgical personnel, and Liturgical Commissions established by their Bishops. FDLC members may include others who support the Liturgical life of parishes, universities, or other Catholic institutions.
FDLC, in collaboration with the Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship, serves the clergy and faithful of the Dioceses of the United States by providing leadership, scholarship, and resources to aid in the authentic implementation and celebration of the Liturgy. FDLC remains committed to its original mandate from the Bishops’ Committee to assist and engage the Church in the United States in the promotion of the Liturgical renewal as envisioned by the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy.
FDLC is organized according to the USCCB’s 14 geographic regions. Our Catholic Diocese of Memphis is part of Region V, which includes all the Dioceses in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. Each board member serves for a three-year term, which is renewable for another three-year term.
