Feed My Flock at St. Louis Packs 115,000+ Meals and 1.6 Million+ in 10 Years

It was an incredible 10th Anniversary of “Feed My Flock” at our St. Louis Parish this past Saturday, Oct. 30. Hundreds of volunteers gathered in the St. Louis School Gym area to help many in need across the Mid-South as well as many halfway around the world.

More than 115,000 meals were packed for Catholic Charities of West Tennessee and Mid-South Food Bank to distribute locally and for the Southern Eye Institute to take to West Africa to provide meals for families involved in eye surgery. Usually an entire family travels many regions with family members who are blind from cataracts. The meals are a blessing while families wait on their loved ones to recover from surgery and hope to see again.

In all, more than 1.6 million meals have been packed since the annual “Feed My Flock” event began 10 years ago at our St. Louis Parish. Thank you to Parishioners Tony McGehee and Mary Margaret Koch for their remarkable and caring leadership each year in making the event possible with the help of so many other faith-filled Parishioners and Community Members. Amazing—God bless!
