Gifts for God’s Children 2019
Middle school students at St. Ann Catholic School in Bartlett participated in “Gifts for God’s Children 2019.” The program was designed by the Catholic Charities of West Tennessee to provide youth and seniors in need with Christmas food and gifts. Middle school adopted a large family and were able to bring in enough for each child to have several toys, pjs, warm clothes, winter coat and shoes. There were even three bikes to fulfil the kids that asked for a bike for Christmas. Student Council members helped load up the van to send the gifts on their way! Way to go St. Ann middle school.
The spirit of giving shown through efforts like this captures what makes the holiday season so meaningful, especially when generosity comes from young hearts learning the value of compassion and community. Christmas gifts are not only about what is wrapped under the tree, but about the message they carry, letting someone know they are seen, supported, and cared for. When students, families, and groups come together to give thoughtfully, even the smallest item can become a symbol of kindness, reinforcing the idea that sharing what we have can bring warmth and joy far beyond the moment of exchange.
Thoughtful gifting can also extend into simple, practical keepsakes that carry lasting meaning, particularly for group initiatives, school programs, or community drives. Items like wholesale custom keyrings can be personalized with names, messages, or symbols of hope, making them easy to distribute while still feeling special to each recipient. These small tokens can serve as everyday reminders of generosity and connection, complementing larger gifts and reinforcing the message that the true value of giving lies in intention and care.
