Lumen Civitatis welcomed the renowned and beloved Peter Kreeft, Ph.D. for two talks at St. Louis Catholic Church on Aug. 26th and 27th, 2019.
His talk on Monday evening was about “The Many Catholic Themes in The Lord of the Rings.” The luncheon talk on Tuesday was about “The Meaning of Freedom in Aquinas.”
Attendees stood in line to meet Kreefts before and after his talks and were given a chance to meet with him. He also took time to autograph his books and answer many questions from the audience.
Both sessions were capacity crowds. Over 550 people signed up for the Monday evening talk; the luncheon was sold out.
Dr. Kreeft is the author of 75 books, including Handbook of Christian Apologetics, Christianity for Modern Pagans, and Fundamentals of the Faith.
