May Crowning at St. Paul Church
May 09, 2020- The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia participated in the May Crowning of Mary outside St. Paul Church in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday. Usually the ceremony involve specially chosen students, but this year, because of COVID 19 virus, they are doing a virtual variation of the ceremony and posting it later on YouTube. At the close of the procession a statue of the Blessed Virgin is crowned with a crown of flowers honoring Mary as “the Queen of May.” The sisters have administered the school since 1965.
