On August 11, at 10:30 AM Mass, Ms. Lauren Devine was presented with the St. Timothy Award at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Every year, each parish may submit the name of a youth in his/her senior year of high school that has shown particular zeal in the improvement of his/her own parish ministry to youth. From these nominations, a committee appointed by the Diocesan Office of Youth Ministries selects a youth who best characterizes the goals of our diocesan youth ministries to be presented the St. Timothy Award. It is the highest recognition from the NFCYM for a diocese to confer upon a Junior High or High School youth (ages 13-18).
