A few of updates regarding upcoming Papal events are below.

Firstly, the Holy Father will not be celebrating a public Mass on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi on Sunday, June 23, 2019.  However, there will be a Papal Angelus Blessing that day in St. Peter’s Square at 12 noon.  No tickets are required for pilgrims to attend.

Secondly, the Holy Father will celebrate Mass on the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Basilica.  Tickets are required to attend, and, because the Mass is inside the Basilica, tickets are limited.

Lastly, as in previous years, the Holy Father will not have any Papal audiences during the month of July.  During the month of August, Papal audiences will resume; however, no tickets are necessary for pilgrims to attend the August Papal audiences.

Attached in this email is the updated Papal Calendar, created by this Office, for Papal events and liturgies through December 2019.  At this time, we are accepting requests for any of these Papal events or liturgies.

We are happy to introduce two new members of the Visitors’ Office staff – Sr. Edith Mary Hart, RSM and Sr. Thomas Miriam White, RSM.  Both Sisters look forward to their service!  Sr. Gianna Marie Savidge, RSM and I, Sr. Mary Christa Nutt, RSM, have received new missions and will be returning to the United States at the end of June.  Sr. Maria Pacis Polakovic, RSM will become the coordinator of the Office at that time.

Finally, we are pleased to share that, due to the completion of the construction at the Casa Santa Maria last year, the Visitors’ Office will be able to welcome pilgrims at our usual location, Via dell’Umiltà, 30throughout the summer months!

In order for pilgrims to visit our Office and receive their tickets, please inform them that it is necessary that they present either an American passport or a driver’s license when they pick up their tickets.  In the confirmation email sent to each pilgrim’s request, a necessary phone number will be provided which will allow the pilgrims to call the Office when they arrive to collect their tickets on ticket distribution days.  Pilgrims must have this phone number when they come to the Visitors’ Office to claim their tickets.

Thank you for your continued support and collaboration with the USCCB’s Visitors’ Office here in Rome.  We are grateful to serve you and your pilgrims.  If you have any questions, please let us know.  Many blessings during these summer months!
