Registration is available for the ninth annual Women’s Morning of Spirituality (WMOS), which will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the Catholic Church of the Incarnation in Collierville, Tenn., from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  A continental breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m.

Women’s Morning of Spirituality is an annual, diocesan, women’s faith-sharing movement, which fosters a deep love for the Catholic faith and encourages spiritual growth for women through prayer, music and the celebration of Holy Mass, Eucharist and reconciliation. On average, 1,200 to 1,400 women attend the annual diocesan event.

All women 18 years of age and up are invited to attend the free event, and must register online at www.womensmorning.com. Donations are accepted, but not required. Donations are used to prepare for the next year’s Women’s Morning.

The scripture theme is from Romans 12:12, “Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.” The local witness speaker will be Sister Rita Marie Kampa, O.P, who teaches religion in the theology department at St. Benedict at Auburndale. The national, keynote speaker will be Johnnette Benkovic Williams, who hosts a television and radio show called “Women of Grace” on the Eternal Word Television Network.

According to Brenda Kindelan, director of WMOS, Women’s Morning is a time when women can hit the pause button on their daily, busy lives and reflect and focus on their faith.

“It’s an opportunity for women to get together to experience faith, food and fellowship. Women see friends they haven’t seen in years and grow in their spiritual development,” she said.
