Special Collection this Weekend for Aftermath of Tornadoes with Many Prayers
Please join our Catholic Diocese of Memphis across West Tennessee in praying for the victims of the recent tornado outbreak in the South and Midwest. May all who have been affected find peace and comfort in our Lord.
Three of our Parishes in our North Deanery, Immaculate Conception-Union City, Holy Angels-Dyersburg and St. Jude-Martin, are assisting local families with storm damage. May God guide and protect all who are assisting with the recovery efforts.
The rest of our Parishes and Missions will take up a Special Collection for storm damage this weekend, Dec. 18-19, to assist the hardest hit areas within the Owensboro Diocese in Western Kentucky. The death and destruction seen in the aftermath of the tornadoes in that part of the state is overwhelming.
Please make checks payable to the Catholic Diocese of Memphis and drop it in the collection basket. You may also mail your donation to the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, 5825 Shelby Oaks Dr., Memphis, TN 38134. Please note “2021 Owensboro Relief” on the check. If mailed, note “2021 Owensboro Relief” on the lower left corner of the envelope.
Every dollar raised for the “2021 Owensboro Relief” will be sent to the Owensboro Diocese. The funds will be used to help relieve the suffering of families who have lost everything.
Thank you—and let’s continue our prayers. Praying is powerful. God bless!
