#iGiveCatholic Results; Thank You for Making a Difference!

Thank you for all the support of #iGiveCatholic that took place recently on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. Our Catholic Diocese of Memphis raised more than $105,000 from 445 donors, which was about $25,000 better than last year–Outstanding! Benefiting from the funds were our World Youth Day pilgrims (youth and young adults attending World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal) and many donor’s favorite Catholic Parish-Mission, School or Ministry.

“This was a wonderful opportunity for our Catholic communities across West Tennessee to promote philanthropy and celebrate our Catholic heritage,” said Bishop David P. Talley, Memphis Diocese. “Every donation will make a difference and it has a lasting positive impact on the life of the Church as a whole. Thank you with many blessings!”

Also, our Memphis Diocese gave away three prizes. One to each School, Parish-Mission and Ministry with the most donors. The winners were:

·       School prize to: Immaculate Conception Cathedral School with 61 donors: $1,000

·       Parish prize to: Sacred Heart Parish  with 100 donors: $500

·       Ministry prize to: World Youth Day with 16 donors: $500

A very special thank you to Kari Olesen, Administrative Assistant-Office of the Bishop and Campaign Chair-#iGiveCatholic, Memphis Diocese, for successfully leading our #iGiveCatholic campaign again this year and to Rebecca Talarico, Coordinator-Youth Programs, Memphis Diocese, as our Campaign Chair-World Youth Day. God bless their excellent service and leadership!

About #iGiveCatholic

#iGiveCatholic is the U.S. Catholic Church’s Giving Day that provides Parishes-Missions, Schools and Ministries affiliated with partner Dioceses, like our Memphis Diocese, the opportunity to connect with their current donors and establish relationships with new donors. The goal of #iGiveCatholic is to inspire the Catholic community to come together as faithful stewards and to Give Catholic on Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving back, which is always the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Next year the Giving Tuesday date for #iGiveCatholic will be Nov. 29, 2022. For more information visit: [memphis.igivecatholic.org]iGiveCatholicMemphis
