St. Benedict at Auburndale High School has hired Ramon Villacura as Principal to begin in the 2025 – 2026 school year. An accomplished leader with a decade of experience, Mr. Villacura is a committed advocate for faith integration, with a history of enhancing school programs to ensure student success.
In his education philosophy, Mr. Villacura shares: “Every child deserves a quality Catholic education: an education that is fundamentally rooted in the principles of spiritual formation, academic excellence, servant leadership, and an unwavering sense of respect for self and others.”
Mr. Villacura joins St. Benedict at Auburndale after serving as the Principal of St. Joseph Catholic School in Marietta, GA (2022 – Present) and has served in Catholic education for over a decade as a teacher, coach, administrator, and school leader. He has earned two Master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Business Administration/Strategic Marketing. A fluent Spanish speaker, Mr. Villacura started his career in Chile before moving to the United States.
Dr. Chris Fay, President of the Catholic Schools Office in Memphis, shared the news of Mr. Villacura’s hiring: “We look forward to welcoming Ramon and Jackie to the St. Benedict community. Ramon is an accomplished Catholic school leader whose life experiences will be of tremendous value to the students, faculty, and staff of SBA.”
St. Benedict at Auburndale is a Catholic, CoEd, College Preparatory High School in Cordova, Tennessee. The school was founded in 1966 as the Auburndale School, purchased by the Catholic Diocese of Memphis in 1988, and was then renamed to St. Benedict at Auburndale. In 2004, St. Benedict moved to its current 47-acre campus at 8250 Varnvas Drive, Cordova, TN 38016. St. Benedict at Auburndale is a diverse school which offers unique programs for all students, including those who excel beyond the traditional curriculum and those who have specific learning needs. Aware that education extends beyond the classroom, St. Benedict at Auburndale also offers a wide range of athletic, artistic, and more co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
