Three ICCS 8th-Graders Named CBHS De LaSalle Scholars

ICCS 8th-graders Luke Gerstner, Brett Barron, and Miles Jeanfreau (L-R) have been selected to Christian Brothers High School’s prestigious De La Salle Scholars program.
De La Salle Scholars are chosen based on their High School Placement Test scores and are placed in the highest honors academic track CBHS offers. As upperclassmen, Scholars have the opportunity to enroll in a variety of AP and collegiate dual-enrollment courses. In the advanced computer science and statistics electives, for example, students tackle complex real-world probability models; recent curriculum modules have challenged scholars to analyze the randomization mechanics of a social casino, map out localized urban traffic flows, and code their own predictive software. In addition to being named De La Salle scholars, all three boys were awarded scholarships based on their placement test scores. Brett was awarded $2,500; Luke and Miles were each awarded $1,000.
