USCCB to Consecrate U.S. to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11

Next month, on Thursday, June 11, as part of the celebration of the 250th Anniversary (Semi-quincentennial) of the signing of our country’s Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is Friday, June 12, this year.
Locally, in anticipation of this USCCB event, Bishop David P. Talley will join U.S. Bishops in consecrating the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus with Mass and the consecration on Thursday evening, June 11, 7pm, at our magnificent and historic Mother Church, The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Ave., Memphis.
All are invited with family, friends, and many other community members to attend the celebration. Also, all of our Priests, Deacons, Seminarians, Religious Brothers and Sisters, Consecrated, and Educators are being encouraged to join Bishop Talley at The Cathedral for this important event.
