Job Responsibilities
- Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students based on national, local and school standards and knowledge of developmental behaviors.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, demonstrations and independent practice using a variety of proven methods.
- Differentiate lessons when needed to give all students access to the curriculum regardless of disability, instructional level, English proficiency or level of interest in the subject.
- Evaluate student performance on tasks established by the standards using different methods such as observation, performance-based tasks or other standard test practices.
- Maintain a safe, orderly and supportive classroom by modeling expected behavior and standards, promoting positive interactions and quickly addressing behaviors that are not in line with the school discipline plan.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress periodically through phone or electronic means and at parent / teacher conferences.
- Improve skills and knowledge in teaching by regularly taking classes, attending workshops and discovering new methods of delivering exciting content to students.
- Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Special Education
- Current teaching certification
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing

Job Summary:
The Regional Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple parishes, schools, and diocesan entities within the Catholic Diocese of Memphis. This role ensures financial reporting accuracy, compliance with accounting policies, and the effective management of financial resources in accordance with diocesan guidelines and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations for assigned parishes, schools, and diocesan entities, ensuring compliance with diocesan policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide financial guidance and support to pastors, school administrators, and finance councils.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and followed to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Conduct periodic financial audits and reviews of assigned entities.
- Assist with the implementation of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
- Train parish and school staff on financial processes, software, and best practices.
- Coordinate with external auditors and diocesan leadership for annual audits and financial reviews.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit or religious organization.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial management principles.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Blackbaud, ParishSoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clergy, staff, and finance committees.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with occasional evening and weekend meetings.

Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry

Job Summary
St. Mary’s Catholic Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry to engage in relational ministry and catechesis for teens and young adults in the parish. This role requires an individual who is enthusiastic about sharing and nurturing the Catholic faith among youth and young adults while fostering a strong parish community.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Experience in sharing and living out the Catholic faith, particularly with young people.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Conversational fluency in English and Spanish.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with parish and diocesan administration to develop and implement youth and young adult programs.
- Engage with parents, youth, and the broader parish community to grow and strengthen youth and young adult ministry.
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to support youth ministry initiatives.
- Plan and facilitate youth ministry meetings, with current activities including:
- Middle School: Sundays at 11:40 AM
- High School: Wednesdays at 6:00 PM

- Build relationships with youth and families to foster participation and community within the parish.
- Organize and oversee youth ministry trips, including mission trips, conferences, fundraisers, and camps.
- Coordinate and promote young adult events to encourage engagement and faith formation.

Director/Coordinator of Religious Education
The position of Director/Coordinator of Religious Education (DRE) is full-time, about 30-40 hours weekly, 12 months a year, preferably bi-lingual in Spanish. Fluency in Spanish is a plus! The Director of Religious Education must be a practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Church. Additionally, he/she is a person of prayer who is committed to the authentic teaching of the Catholic faith.
The Director/Coordinator of Religious Education reports directly to the Pastor. As a member of the parish staff, the Director of Religious Education works with other staff members to foster and maintain a positive working environment where faith, hospitality, and learning are the primary motivators. The Director of Religious Education is a professional catechetical leader who assists adults, adolescents, and children of the parish in their faith formation. At St. Philip, the Director is responsible for coordinating the Parish’s program of religious education and formation for approximately 50-60 students from ages 6 to 17.
Responsibilities include:
• collaborate and meet with the Pastor to discuss matters relating to religious education and sacramental preparation
• oversee the development of the Parish Religious Education Program, from Grade Level 1 through High School, in conformity with the guidelines of the Office for Catechetical Formation of the Diocese of Memphis
• prepare the Parish Religious Education Program schedule of in-person classes and activities
• provide access and inclusion for children with special learning needs
• evaluate and requisition resources (textbooks, audiovisual materials, liturgical worship-aids, reference works, etc.) which complement the religious education efforts of the parish
• recruit and orient volunteer catechists
• participate in the Diocesan Meetings Parish Religious Directors, Coordinators, and Administrators of Religious Education
• schedule dates for celebrations of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation
• schedule and coordinate the sacramental preparation meetings for parents of school-age candidates for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation Penance, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation
• obtain and organize all candidate’s and sponsor’s pertinent documents required for the celebration and proper recording of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation
• record all candidates’ Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation in the Parish Sacramental Registers
• prepare and coordinate retreat days for students preparing for Confirmation
• prepare with the Pastor and Music Director for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation
• communicate regularly with families keeping them updated and informed of program information and inviting them to parish worship events
• Send communications regarding Spanish Mass to Spanish community, create worship aides for Spanish Mass

School Bus Driver
St. Benedict has an opening for a School Bus Driver. This is an hourly position (but could be combined with other openings for a full-time position). Morning route includes picking up students at a pre-determined site and transporting to St. Benedict. Afternoon route includes picking up students on campus and returning to the pre-determined site for parent pick up and staying with students until all are picked up by parent/guardian. Opportunities available to drive for athletic/school trips on weekends/evenings, but not required.
St. Benedict will pay for the training to receive the CDL license.
Qualifications include:
- Must possess a valid CDL license with a Passenger & School bus endorsement (State of Tennessee)

Extended Care Assistant
Job Summary: The Extended Care Assistant works with the Extended Care Director to provide a fun and safe before or after school experience. This position comes under the direct supervision of the pastor, school principal, and his or her designees. This is a part-time position. Hours and days vary, but may be 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Essential job functions:
- To supervise the children at all times, ensuring their well-being and safety in a variety of locations
- To recognize needs of children at different stages of development
- To check the program’s equipment and make sure it is safe and adequate before the program starts each day
- To offer a variety of equipment, games, and supplies to create a stimulating program
- To treat all children with dignity and respect
- To assist the Director in the planning, implementing and evaluation of the program
- To work with other members of the staff as a team
- To discuss staffing issues with the Coordinator
- To make sure staff and children leave the location clean and tidy each day
- To ensure all children are signed in and are signed out by an authorized adult
Minimal Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Has successful teaching experience and/or child supervision experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
- Knowledge of child development, learning and behavior
- Able to manage student behavior

Nursery Aide
The nursery aide will work under the direction of the Pastor and the Director of Religious Education. As a nursery aide you will help children and families during and between the Masses on Sunday mornings. Our goal at St. Peter Church is to nurture the child’s relationship with God, and to help children come to know their faith so that they can more easily transition into attending Mass when their parents choose. The ideal nursery aide has already been exposed to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, but if not, is willing to attend training. Any candidate must be able to adopt a Montessori framework for the learning environment and interactions with children.
Estimated hours per week: 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sundays (Some additional feast days and holy days as needed.)
Hourly wage: $18
Job duties may include (but not limited to):
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in their care.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as Montessori infant/toddler toys, practical life, prayer, singing, and faith-based materials.
- Change diapers and assist with potty training as needed.
- Assist with the toddlers’ communal meal (snacks).
- Calm and soothe children when they are distressed.
- Ensure play, food and changing areas are kept clean.
Qualifications:
- Age 18+
- VIRTUS Trained (if not already trained, will be required before starting)
- Ability to lift toddlers (~30lbs)
- Comfortable sitting and being on the floor with children.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers.
- Catechesis of the Good Shepherd formation/experience (or willingness to take training)

Church of the Holy Spirit Mother’s Day Out is looking for motivated, energetic, creative, caring, and fun-loving team players to help provide a loving and safe environment with us here at MDO during our 2025-2026 school session. This position is part time, working on Mondays and Wednesday with our Toddlers from 8:30am – 2:55pm. Job duties would include caring for children, reading, crafts, playtime, general care of children, and helping to maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared classroom.
