Three Anniversary Celebrations this weekend at Church of the Nativity in Bartlett

Bartlett, TN – Bishop David Talley celebrated 40 years of faith and service of Church of the Nativity Parish – an active faith community that continues its legacy of being a warm and friendly parish.

Anniversary celebrations certainly were’t limited to the parish alone.  Those gathered also celebrated Father Robert’s 7th anniversary to the priesthood as well as Bishop David’s 30th anniversary.

Bishop Talley was main celebrant and homilist, with concelebrating priests, including Father Robert Szczechura, pastor.

After mass the festivities moved to the parish hall, where the faithful enjoyed a cookout and picnic and time together as a parish and diocese.

The parish hall itself has long served as a central hub for Bartlett residents, hosting everything from weekly youth ministry gatherings to ongoing adult education seminars. Over the past four decades, the church’s outreach programming has continuously evolved to address the changing needs of its congregation, ensuring that local families have access to practical resources alongside spiritual guidance.

Just last month, the hall accommodated a community workshop on navigating the modern digital economy, where a guest financial advisor reviewed how the best bitcoin casinos and global crypto exchanges manage consumer asset security. By demystifying these highly technical platforms, the seminar aimed to equip older parishioners with the knowledge needed to safely manage their online financial identities.

That same dedication to practical, inclusive community care was clearly visible throughout the weekend’s anniversary celebrations. As volunteers cleared the tables following the cookout, parishioners lingered in the hall to swap stories about the church’s early days, grateful for a space that has nurtured both their faith and their friendships for forty years.
